The Vision
We are confident we live in a Paradigm Shift era.
The Internet of Things, Big Data, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning have transformed machines from serving a specific purpose to being self-driven.
Nowadays, information is readily available, free, and accessible to everyone. Due to this, producers and consumers are in direct contact, and no middlemen are involved. As a result, consumers can purchase goods at prices that benefit both them and the producers. However, this direct interaction has led to some issues related to quality control. Since the middlemen are no longer involved, their guarantee is missing, and consumers cannot always be sure they are getting what they see.
To survive in today's rapidly changing business environment, reorganization is vital. Relying on past practices is no longer a viable solution. Although we have a plethora of Big Data available to us, it can seem chaotic when we try to analyze it through the lens of Reductionism. Predicting the future without considering Data Relations is likely to lead to failure. However, because of the default rule of Reductionism, Relations are often not measured. Predicting the future is crucial today, but unfortunately, more than half of the global production never makes it to the final consumer. This drives up final prices and results in much of the excess production being stored as garbage on our planet, creating a significant problem for us all.
Imagine the world producing less than today and consuming more. There would be less global garbage and lower prices, and consumers would find any product to fulfill their needs quickly. Businesses would operate profitably or terminate operations.
In the field of Social Sciences, there is an urgent need for change. The economic systems of Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism revolve around the ownership of the means of production, whether private or public and the redistribution of wealth. However, none of these systems take into account the input or decisions of the wealth producers themselves. What if a new system could accurately measure each person's contribution to wealth production and distribute it fairly?
We need a new system that can precisely measure the wealth produced by individuals and distribute it fairly. This would motivate people to share their wealth directly in micro- and macro-economics rather than receiving an average part of the system's cumulative numbers.
Imagine a society where every citizen works in their area of expertise and is rewarded based on their contribution to the collective. If implemented, this system would result in universal contentment, exponential GDP growth, and elimination of global debt.
In the medical field, cancer treatments are known to attack both cancerous and healthy cells. However, if therapies were developed using Systems Thinking, the cancer cells would be isolated first, and then the appropriate drugs would target and eliminate them without harming the healthy cells. On the other hand, in the case of COVID-19, the global medical community is currently researching a solution in a flawed manner by only collecting data from hospitalized patients. This approach overlooks the asymptomatic individuals who have successfully fought off the virus, and their valuable information is excluded from the research. The organizations of asymptomatic individuals hold the key to their success, but they are not being included in the study. Recently, scientists have been studying individual drug cocktails for each patient instead of a one-size-fits-all approach. However, there is a lack of information about the global population individually.
Imagine a society where each citizen keeps their health records at MyMedicube. Each person receives treatments based on their records, and the community has access to an entire medical database (excluding GDPR) for study and evaluation.
Reductionism served well in the Industrial Revolution era but cannot perform the same in the Internet era.
The ENTELECHY CUBE is a systems thinking predictive model that takes a holistic approach to solving problems in all areas of science. It measures elements within a larger context, organizes data into six views, and uses these relationships to predict a secure future. The Cube faces serve as a cross-check to ensure accuracy in the expected outcomes.
Life on our planet is a balance of births, lives, and deaths.
The Die is Cast!
The ENTELECHY CUBE Proof story
The Entelechy Cube was proven by its founder, Socrates Zygomalas.
In 1980, as a student at Athens University of Economics and Business, my Entelechy story began. During this time, I was studying "Management," which quickly became my favorite subject. I first met the inspired professor Iordanis Ladopoulos in one of these classes. Through his lessons, I learned about the distinction between Reductionism and General Systems Theory. During the 1970s, the preferred scientific method for all "modern" sciences was Reductionism, which had succeeded greatly in the Industrial Revolution. However, Professor Ladopoulos had concerns about whether a Paradigm Shift was necessary or whether a scientific upgrade of Reductionism would suffice.
"In his book, I was introduced to the concept of Entelechy in a system. A machine exhibits teleological behavior, whereas a human system is entelechial because a human can adjust the system's final goal in response to environmental changes. When human and machine behavior are combined, it becomes entelechial."
Entelechy is a word coined by Aristotle, derived from three Greek words: "EN," which means "Inside," "TELos," which means "Goal," and "ECHY," which means "Have."
Something inside myself is guiding me to a Destiny.
Etched in my mind is the concept of Entelechy, along with an image of a System consisting of subsystems and arrows pointing upwards, resembling a hot-air balloon!
"Entelechy. It was destiny."
In 1986, I began my entrepreneurial journey by opening a franchise store that sold jewelry and accessories. However, since I was also working at my father's Customs Broker Office, I didn't have enough time to focus on my new business venture. Instead of giving up, I saw this as an opportunity to create retail software that would allow me to manage my store remotely with the help of a programmer. I planned to eventually sell this software to other franchise stores as well.
We developed the software using DOS and FoxPro. At the end of each business day, the "close day" function checks and closes the current day and opens the next working day. This process gave me the confidence that I had a full backup of my store data with the security of the checksum. I used a dial-up modem to download files after the "closing day" function. My preference for software analysis was for systems that matched my perfectionism to the detail.
When I first started analyzing my sales data, I noticed that the percentage of significant sales categories remained consistent over time. This pattern also extended to prices and price ranges within major and subcategories. This led me to establish my first set of principles, which dictate that the stock structure of my warehouses must always comply with expected sales revenues, categorized by kind and price range.
As I analyzed further, I found that seasonal merchandise required a different replenishment approach, and my supplier's merchandise families had a strong correlation with my sales data. I also factored in my costs to calculate final profit.
To achieve success, I had to rely on not only the quantitative characteristics calculated by my software but also the qualitative choices made by my merchandising team. By combining data and human analysis, I was able to reach my ultimate goal of entelechy.
"The first version of the ENTELECHY CUBE was set!"
In 1992, I discovered while participating in off-shore sailing regattas with my cruiser-racer sailing boat. A specific feature system measures each boat and receives a GPH (General Purpose Handicap), which is used to correct the elapsed time of its voyage during the race. The regattas rank by their "corrected" time on how close to their GPH raced. This process made me look for a GPH to have a target KPI in my business. I found it exciting to monitor the Element-SKU results in detail compared to the overall result, noticing their fluctuation in the categories and subcategories. One question challenged my mind: How would I manage so many parameters to have the best results? The challenge was ordering and replicating quantities and time in equilibrium with the expected sales structure to achieve the best return on my limited investment funds.
1992 was an excellent year for me because it gave me the SPAR, which I won't explain now. The details will be revealed in the ENTELECHY CUBE AI version, which is expected to be released next year.
In 1998, I began managing five stores as an outsource for a franchisor. Instead of building a large organization, I created a virtual "ALLSHOPS" with the sum of all stores in one. Every store would contribute data and receive standing orders. The system was designed with smart contracts and used omnichannel before the term was coined. All data was gathered in a black box and shared for inventory and expense payments. Employees used a real-time system to answer data queries. The stores increased to 23, and we achieved an excellent 35% EBITDA to sales. Our channel was awarded Retail of the Year 2007 in Greece.
"Thanks to the solutions provided by ENTELECHY CUBE, our channel remained profitable both as a whole and per store, even during the crisis. If a store was at risk and couldn't be fixed to remain profitable, we decided to close it. The Hot-air balloon store always remained profitable. However, our cooperation ended at the end of 2017."
"We've prepared ENTELECHY CUBE as an online advisor for businesses. The next version of ENTELECHY CUBE AI is analyzed, with trimmed Code Element and assigned decision-making AI functions."
